October 21, 2010
Today, more than 2,500 volunteer bankers - including many from Home Federal, will visit colleges, high schools, youth groups and continuing education classes during the American Bankers Association (ABA) Education Foundation’s eighth annual Get Smart About Credit Day. The bankers at about 450 institutions will teach more than 84,000 students how to budget, use credit cards responsibly and build a positive payment history.
ABA Education Foundation Director Laura Fisher also will broadcast the message of responsible credit use to about 2.1 million listeners at radio stations across the country. The interviews will run in such major media markets as San Francisco, Atlanta, Chicago, Cleveland, Houston, Tampa, Fla., and Washington, D.C. Click here to view a list of all participating banks.
