Project for Bowden Youth Center Allows Children To Give
December 14, 2010
For the third year in a row, Home Federal Bank employees hosted a Bowden Youth Center Holiday Event. This event provided the children who attend the Bowden Youth Center with the opportunity to “shop” for gifts for their family members. Home Federal employees donated items from which the children chose and every child received a hand-made scarf.
The shopping event, gift-wrapping and pizza party took place at the Bowden Youth Center on December 9. A great time was had by all! Thank you to everyone who donated their time and resources to this great project!
About the Bowden Youth Center The Volunteers of America’s Bowden Youth Center offers recreation, education and creative opportunities to all youth, serves as a drop-in center for runaway, homeless and /or youth at risk of becoming homeless in the Sioux Falls community. Many of the children in our community are not fortunate enough to have what we consider basic necessities. The Bowden Youth Center answers that call and opens their doors to serve our youth with after school programs and various other outreach programs.
